Centerpoint Medical Center joins HCA Midwest Health's Menorah Medical Center as the only two hospitals in the Kansas City region to be named one of Healthgrades America's 50 Best Hospitals for Surgical Care™ in 2023.

Healthgrades Specialty Excellence Awards recognize the top 10% of hospitals across the country in 17 specialty care areas. Among those in the top 10%, the very best hospitals are named among the top 100 in the country. Centerpoint Medical Center received the following Healthgrades awards:

Centerpoint Medical Center is also the only hospital in the Kansas City region to be named one of Healthgrades America's 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery, an honor it has now earned two years in a row.

Healthgrades evaluated patient mortality and complication rates for 31 of the most common conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals across the country to identify the top-performing hospitals for specialty care. This year's analysis revealed significant variation in patient outcomes between hospitals with a 2023 Healthgrades Specialty Excellence Award and hospitals that did not receive the award.
