About our community
Let's start with the facts
You're looking for a place to make a difference with a healthcare system that offers the best resources to not only the community, but also its employees.
Lafayette Regional Health Center opened its doors in 1951 as Lexington Memorial Hospital in Lexington, Missouri. As the only hospital serving Lafayette County and surrounding areas-comprising more than 32,000 people-Lafayette Regional Health Center is known for compassionate and high quality acute and outpatient medical care services, including three physician clinics.
Continually evolving to meet the growing community's needs, Lafayette Regional Health Center earned its first accreditation from The Joint Commission in 1966 and began 24/7 Emergency Room coverage in 1979. A Missouri Critical Access Hospital, the 25-bed, all-private room facility offers state-of-the-art imaging and testing services, in addition to a full range of general and laparoscopic surgeries and more than 20 medical specialties, including bone and joint care, pain management, primary care, wellness programs and rehabilitation services, among others. In addition, Lafayette Regional Health Center has three rural health clinics.
The medical staff, comprised of more than 100 physicians and specialists, offers exceptional experiences and extraordinary health care for adults, newborns, children and teens. The Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Lafayette Regional Health Center offers cutting-edge cancer diagnosis, treatment and clinical trials close to home.
Although the hospital receives awards and prestigious recognition from The Joint Commission, the American College of Radiology and other high-profile organizations, we don't rest on them-instead, our team members put excellence into action.
Community connected
Lafayette Regional Health Center takes its signature brand of health and wellness beyond the hospital's Lexington campus. Partnerships with local and national organizations put the hospital at the forefront of popular community activities. All part of an effort to educate our neighbors about how to achieve optimal health and wellness-and to be there for them and their families in their greatest hour of need. It's not just what we do-it's who we are.

Values (I CARE)
Integrity – We must model high, ethical standards, which means doing the right thing when no one is looking and walking the talk as leaders.
Compassion – No longer are we to live by the Golden Rule, but rather we are to live and operate by the Platinum Rule, which is to treat people how they want to be treated and being responsive to their needs.
Always – We are focused on creating a Culture of Always. This means every patient, every time and every touch. Always. Not Sometimes, Not Usually. Always.
Respect – It is imperative to demonstrate respect and teamwork to each and every employee, while focusing on patient-centered care.
Excellence – When you add the first four values together (Integrity, Compassion, Always and Respect), we will be the destination of Excellence and our metrics and indicators will prove it.
