Darrel Box

Chief Executive Officer

Darrel Box, RPh MHA chief executive officer Darrel Box currently serves as CEO of Lafayette Regional Health Center, a level A facility, in the MidAmerica Division. The hospital is located in Lexington, MO (a historic and agricultural community located 45 miles East of Kansas City). Lafayette Regional Health Center (LRHC) is a 25 bed critical access hospital with 3 rural health clinics (Higginsville, Lexington, and Odessa). Darrel started at LRHC in 1991 as director of pharmacy. He advanced to pharmacy director at Lee's Summit Hospital in 1999 and returned to LRHC as director of ancillary services in 2003. Darrel moved to vice-president of operations in 2007 and CEO in 2013. Darrel's tenure has seen a contract to lease the facility with the City of Lexington, design and construction of an $8 million outpatient clinic, renovation of ER, implementation of a hospitalist model and a deepening relationship with the community. Darrel is a lifelong resident of the area. He received a BS in Pharmacy from the University of MO, Kansas City and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota . Darrel is currently chair of Community Health Foundation, Missouri Hospital Association CAH Network and Mayor of Buckner. Darrel has been married 33 years to his wife Oletta. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, travel, watching the Royals and Chiefs.

Teri James

Chief Financial Officer

Teri James is the chief financial officer for Lafayette Regional Health Center, assuming this role in 2008. She has been with Lafayette Regional Health Center since 1995, serving in several different financial capacities throughout this time.

Teri is passionate about rural health care while optimizing financial performance through the Hospital and Rural Health Clinics.

Teri is involved in several outreach organizations within Lexington that promote the health and wellbeing of the entire community. Teri received her Bachelor of Science in Financial Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University.

Kim Leakey, BSN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Kim Leakey, BSN, RN serves as the chief nursing officer at Lafayette Regional Health Center, having assumed this role in 2003 when LRHC joined the HCA Healthcare MidAmerica Division.

As an experienced nurse, Kim brings excellence, integrity, and professionalism to her role each and every day. She has served in a variety of nursing roles, including staff nurse and manager/director of multiple departments at LRHC since 1984, as well as a short tenure in corporate occupational nursing.

Kim leads with compassion for the rural community and population which LRHC serves. She provides nursing leadership with a purpose, while seeking to raise the bar in quality, safety, employee engagement, and patient and physician satisfaction.

Kim received a Bachelor Science in Nursing (BSN) from Central Missouri State University.

Tracy Rogers, MSN, SHRM-CP

Vice President of Human Resources

Tracy Rogers, MSN, SHRM-CP has served as Lafayette Regional Health Center’s vice president of human resources since 2015, and supports more than 230 colleagues at Lafayette Regional Health Center and three physician clinics. She joined HCA Healthcare in 1988 and has nearly 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She spent 27 of those years serving in various nursing and leadership roles. Tracy earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nursing from University of Central Missouri.

Tyler Stoltman

Vice President of Operations

Tyler Stoltman joined Lafayette Regional Health Center as the vice president of operations in 2021 to provide oversight to its critical access hospital and its 3 rural health clinics. With 12 years of healthcare experience, he has spent the past 8 years in leadership and operations, after spending 4 years working as a certified athletic trainer.

Tyler joined HCA Healthcare in 2015, working with the Physicians Service Group at Centerpoint Medical Center. Since Joining Lafayette Regional Health Center, Tyler has been instrumental in growing the hospital’s outpatient service lines.

He earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Minnesota State University and a master's of science in healthcare administration from Lindenwood University.

Tyler has been married 2 years to his wife Andrea. In his spare time he enjoys golfing.
