• 12-Month certificate program

• Didactic classes two days per week, clinical rotations three days per week

Program evaluation 2018-2022 (5 YR average) (19 graduates)

Graduate achievement data is an indicator of program effectiveness, demonstrating the extent to which a program achieves its goals.

Candidates for admission must satisfy one of the following minimal requirements:

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with a minimum of an Associate degree
• Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS (ASCP)
• Bachelor of Science degree, science background preferred

The following post-secondary courses are required for admission:

• Human Anatomy & Physiology I and II with lab or equivalent
• General/College Physics
• General Chemistry with lab
• College Algebra
• English Composition
• Oral Communications
• Medical Terminology
• Humanities Course
• Social Science Course

The following post-secondary courses are recommended.

• Computer Science
• Statistics
• Immunology

A cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required from post-secondary education.

The applicant needs to be a citizen of the United States or hold a US permanent immigration visa.

A physical exam must be successfully completed within one month prior to the beginning of school. A drug screen is included in the physical and drug free results are required for admission.

A background check is required of all students prior to starting classes.

Applicants must submit:

• An application fee of $40 check or money order payable to Research Medical Center
• Completed application documenting shadow experience
• Personal statement / Essay addressing: "Why do you want to be a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and why at this program?"
• Official transcripts of all postsecondary, college and professional education sent directly from the school.

All applicants must complete a mandatory shadow experience in a nuclear medicine department to observe studies and talk with technologists to learn what is expected of persons working in the nuclear medicine profession. This shadow experience is to be documented on the application.

You are responsible for contacting and obtaining your references. Academic or work related references are preferred. Reference forms should be mailed directly to the program office by the person completing your reference.
