HCA Midwest health’s new specialty care clinic serves Lansing and Leavenworth County with five specialists for expert care, close to home
Specialty Care clinic, which joins Specialists in Women’s Care at 1004 Progress Drive, offers area residents the opportunity for providers specializing in maternal-fetal medicine, pulmonary and sleep, urogynecology, neurology and pediatric general surgery, with more specialists being added early this year.
Lansing, KS — HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s leading healthcare provider, recently opened an HCA Midwest Health Specialty Care clinic staffed by five highly regarded and advanced specialty experts who also practice in the Kansas City metro. The clinic, at 1004 Progress Dr., expands immediate and convenient access to board-certified, compassionate healthcare providers close to home for Lansing and Leavenworth County residents. Additional specialists will be available later this year, including cardiology, maternal fetal medicine, neurosurgery and vascular services.
Specialty Care board-certified experts include Mala Goyal, MD, pulmonary and sleep; Erika Hunter, MD, urogynecology; Noushin Ansari, MD, neurology; and Corey Iqbal, MD, pediatric general surgery.
Specialists in Women’s Care, an OB-GYN practice comprised of HCA Midwest Health physician and certified nurse midwife experts, have served the Lansing and Leavenworth area for more than 10 years, and is conveniently located in the medical office building at 1004 Progress Dr. with the Specialty Care clinic. Seven physicians offer board-certified expertise to meet the needs of women at every stage of life and include Thomas Greaves, M.D, Amy C. Sorrells, MD, Rabiya Suleman, MD, Sara Talken, MD, Kristi Weaver, D.O., Stacey Johnson, MD, Kristin J. Kruse, MD Three certified nurse midwives are also at the clinic, including Kim Boote, CNM, Kristy Evers, CNM, and Amy Mendes, CNM.

Meet specialty care physician experts

Mala Goyal, MD is board-certified in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine and has specialized training in treating various pulmonology conditions such as asthma, pneumonia, as well as pulmonary function testing. Dr. Goyal earned her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. She completed a residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she also completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine and another fellowship in pulmonary disease.

Erika Hunter, MD is board-certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, and is based at The Urogynecology Center in Overland Park, KS. She specializes in urogynecology and advance laparoscopic surgery including the most complex surgical cases of endometriosis involving the bowel, bladder and ureters, mesh excision, recurrent prolapse, and frozen pelvis, accepting patients from all over the country. Dr. Hunter is returning to the Kansas City metropolitan area after previously working at the premier tertiary unit in Auckland, New Zealand.

Noushin Ansari, M.D. is a board-certified family medicine physician with residency training in neurology. She is very passionate about research and volunteer work within the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Kansas City. She has also volunteered her medical expertise at Hope House and Guadalupe medical clinics. She earned her medical degree and completed two residency training programs at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Corey Iqbal, MD is the medical director of pediatric surgery and fetal surgery at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Midwest Health. Dr. Iqbal is dually trained in pediatric general surgery and fetal surgery. Dr. Iqbal is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is board-certified and fellowship-trained in pediatric surgery, and fellowship-trained in fetal surgery.
