Numerous events across Kansas City will support community partners and local organizations with hands-on volunteer service.

Overland Park, KS — HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider, will once again host its annual colleague volunteer initiative, We Show Up for Our Communities Week, from April 15 to 26. Physicians and colleagues will donate time and resources to community partners who share a vision to positively impact the lives of residents and visitors across the region.

“At HCA Midwest Health, we strive to not only provide the high-quality, compassionate healthcare our patients deserve but also to address needs in the communities we serve,” said HCA Midwest Health President Keith Zimmerman. “We Show Up for Our Communities Week is just one of many ways our organization demonstrates how the care we provide extends well beyond the walls of our facilities with a commitment to the places where we live and work. We are fortunate to have community partners who share our vision for impacting the lives of others, and we look forward to working alongside them to make a positive, long-term impact in the region.”

HCA Midwest Health is committed to creating healthier tomorrows for communities across the Kansas City region, volunteering time, making charitable donations, and partnering with other organizations. Several local organizations including Kanbe’s Markets, Great Jobs KC and Girl Scouts received charitable donations as a result of HCA Healthcare Foundation's Healthier Tomorrow Fund. In 2023, 380 HCA Midwest Health colleagues volunteered 4,429 hours supporting 144 community organizations. In 2024 year-to-date, 79 HCA Midwest Health colleagues have volunteered 597 hours to support 37 community organizations.
