RSV can be dangerous for infants and young children. Each year in the United States, about 80,000 children younger than 5 years are hospitalized due to RSV infection and it’s also the leading cause of hospitalizations among children less than one years old.

Dr. A. Gabriel Schifman, a pediatric emergency room physician and medical director of the Pediatric ER at Overland Park Regional Medical Center — a part of HCA Midwest Health, chats with Kansas City Mom Collective about a new shot that can help reduce the risk of RSV in infants.
