HCA Midwest Health
July 01, 2013

The second CareSpot urgent care center in partnership with HCA Midwest Health System — Kansas City’s largest healthcare network — opens on July 1, 2013, at 9490 East State Route 350, in Raytown, Missouri.

This new 4,000-square-foot location at Raytown Square is conveniently located in a shopping center anchored by a HyVee. This location will provide the same broad array of urgent care, well care and occupational health services found at the CareSpot located at 7935 W. 151st Street, in Overland Park, Kansas (formerly Menorah Urgent Care). At both locations, CareSpot’s joint venture partnership with HCA Midwest Health System means that a large hospital and physician network of support is available if patients should choose to utilize it for specialized or follow-up care.

Patients also benefit from the convenience of new online and mobile scheduling tools. At CareSpot.com, customers can see wait times, save a spot in line from home before walking in, or book an appointment for a future time or day from their computers or smartphones. The center will also feature new check-in tablets for a paperless, streamlined registration when patients arrive at the center

Plans are underway to identify and open three additional CareSpot area locations by the end of the year. The joint venture with HCA Midwest will make CareSpot a leading urgent care provider in the Greater Kansas City area. CareSpot will offer healthcare services at the urgent care centers to treat non-emergent medical problems that can develop unexpectedly and require immediate attention, filling the gap between primary care physicians and hospital emergency rooms.  Patients receive the staffing benefits and expertise of a proven network of CareSpot urgent care centers combined with the option to access the broader resources of a large hospital and physician system if a higher level of care is required. All centers will operate as CareSpot in partnership with HCA Midwest Health System. CareSpot will manage daily business operations.
