Belton Regional Medical Center — part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider — announced today that Robyn Miller, RN, NE-BC, BCEN, TCRN, has been named as chief nursing officer (CNO). An accomplished nursing leader, Miller brings a wealth of experience to the Belton Regional Medical Center team, as well as a proven track record of fostering a culture of colleague engagement, collaboration and retention. She will oversee all nursing operations for Belton Regional Medical Center.

“I am thrilled that Robyn, a respected and accomplished nursing leader, is joining the Belton Regional Medical Center family,” says Belton Regional Medical CEO Todd Krass. “Robyn shares our commitment to delivering high-quality, safe and compassionate care to the communities we serve. With nearly 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, she embodies our mission for the care and improvement of human life. Robyn will be instrumental in leading our nurses and team to continue elevating the standard of care and enhancing the patient experience.”

Previously the ACNO for Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Miller has been with HCA Midwest Health for 10 years. During her time with Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Miller played a pivotal role in helping increase employee engagement scores, improve patient experience and quality metrics, and reduce nursing turnover. From an operational standpoint, Miller helped implement various staffing management and resiliency initiatives that guided the hospital through the past few challenging years.

Before joining Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Miller spent three years at Centerpoint Medical Center, serving as the director of emergency services/nursing operations, interim ACNO and interim telemetry director. Prior to that, she served as Research Medical Center’s emergency department director for five years. In addition to her HCA Midwest Health experience, Miller has worked in nursing leadership roles for two other Kansas City area health systems.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside dedicated nurses, physicians, and every member of the Belton Regional Medical Center family to provide exceptional care to those we serve,” says Miller. “Caring for and serving others is the heart and core of my profession and leadership. I am honored and privileged to serve in our community and be part of the Belton Regional Medical Center team.”

Miller’s efforts have been recognized within HCA Healthcare with the HCA Innovators Award and Star of the Quarter Award, and within the industry with the ER Nurse Manager of the Year Award by the Kansas City Emergency Nurses Association. Miller has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Truman State University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Avila University, as well as a master’s degree in nursing leadership from Western Governors University.
