From teacher to patient, Barbara Voshall had a care experience like no other.

Barbara Voshall has taught generations of nurses as an instructor at Graceland University College of Nursing. So, when she started experiencing symptoms of a heart attack – while teaching a lesson on that topic – she knew to call 911 immediately and get to HCA Midwest Health’s Centerpoint Medical Center. There, she did not only benefit from the life-saving continuum of care offered through the hospital’s emergency department, cath lab and intensive care unit; she also benefitted from the expertise of the Centerpoint nursing staff, many of whom she personally trained.
