Overland Park Regional Medical Center appoints Jim Boyle, MSN, RN, CNML as chief nursing officer

Seasoned healthcare leader as a frontline nursing caregiver and executive, Boyle joins Johnson County hospital.

With more than 26 years of healthcare experience as a frontline caregiver, nursing leader and executive, Boyle joins Johnson County healthcare leader.

Overland Park, KS – Overland Park Regional Medical Center – part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider – has named Jim Boyle, MSN, RN, CNML, Chief Nursing Officer. Boyle joins the senior leadership team to advance the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate, patient-focused care.

‌Boyle brings over 26 years of healthcare experience as a frontline caregiver, nursing leader, and executive. Most recently, he served as CNO of Medical City Weatherford Hospital in Weatherford, Texas, part of HCA Healthcare’s North Texas Division. During his tenure, Boyle helped increase the facility’s RN engagement and physician satisfaction with nursing, which resulted in being among the top in HCA Healthcare, HCA Midwest Health’s parent company. In 2023, the facility’s labor-delivery and postpartum departments were recognized as HCA Units of Distinction.

Boyle also served as vice president of Clinical Operations and as ACNO for Medical City Arlington, a 431-bed trauma center with a Level III NICU and a robust women’s program with nearly 4,000 deliveries annually. Boyle was responsible for clinical operations, including acute care, ER, CV and women’s services. Under Boyle’s guidance, the ER, ICU and NICU were recognized as HCA Units of Distinction for exceptional clinical care‌. Before assuming nursing leadership roles, Boyle served as an RN in multiple capacities, including ER, ICU, PACU, and house supervisor.

Boyle earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Saint Xavier University in Chicago and a master’s in healthcare systems leadership with graduate honors from Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. A graduate of the HCA Healthcare Leadership Institute’s Executive Development Program, Boyle holds professional certifications in nursing leadership, emergency operations, and disaster preparedness.
