Concussion Management
We provide ImPACT™, a neurocognitive test that is the most widely used test and currently the choice of the MLB, NHL, NBA, MLS and NFL. ImPACT™ helps physicians evaluate an athlete’s recovery following a concussion. In the preseason, each athlete is given a baseline test. Should a concussion occur, a follow-up test may be administered to see if results have changed from the baseline to help determine if an athlete is ready to return to action. We partner with local school and community sports programs to provide concussion baseline testing. Please check with your athletic program to see if baseline testing is offered.
Athletic Training
We care about the success of our youth athletes. That’s why we have athletic trainers at Belton, Grandview and RayPec high schools. Our athletic trainers work in collaboration with sports medicine specialists, orthopedic surgeons and the schools coaches and athletes to:
