Sean Kamber

Chief Executive Officer

Sean Kamber is the chief executive officer at Menorah Medical Center. Prior to entering this role, he served as CEO of Medical City Weatherford Hospital in Weatherford, Texas since 2018. .

Kamber’s background also includes serving as vice president of rural and community outreach for HCA Healthcare’s Gulf Coast Division, identifying and developing strategic opportunities for collaboration in the secondary and tertiary service areas..

In addition, he served as chief operating officer at Weatherford Regional for three years. In which time, he helped improve CMS hospital ratings, increased growth in adjusted admissions and surgery, and completed the joint venture acquisition for the imaging center..

Kamber brings more than 18 years of healthcare experience to the role. His career began as division manager for a urology group and he quickly advanced to higher-level leadership roles, including director of operations at Texas Health Resources and assistant administrator at Laredo Medical Center..

Kamber received a master's degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University and holds an undergraduate degree from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.

Janie Thompson

Chief Operating Officer

Janie Thompson is the Chief Operating Officer at Menorah Medical Center.

Thompson has been with HCA Healthcare since January 2020 and came to Menorah from St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, a campus of St. David’s Medical Center in Georgetown, Texas. While in that role, she developed and launched first Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab at the hospital, which added a new service line and advanced capabilities from diagnostic to interventional. Additionally, she expanded imaging services including 24/7 CT capabilities, weekend MRI coverage, and upgrading new CT scanner and fluoroscopy suite.

Thompson earned an MS in Healthcare Administration and a BS in Neuroscience from Trinity University (TX). She also is a graduate of HCA Healthcare’s Executive Development Program (EDP) class of 2022, HCA’s Early Careerist Collaborative (ECC) 2021 cohort participant, and a graduate of the HCA Executive Residency Program (ERP) class of 2019.


Debbie Gafford

Chief Financial Officer

Debbie has been with Menorah Medical Center for more than 20 years in her current role of Chief Financial Officer. She is proud to have witnessed the growth and success of Menorah after the move to the current Overland Park location in 1996. Debbie is graduate of the University of Kansas. She started her career in public accounting before committing to the healthcare field.


Joseph Reuben, MD, MBA, FACEP

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Reuben is the Chief Medical Officer at Menorah Medical Center. In this role he strives to improve clinical quality and efficiency, patient safety and experience, health equity, physician and patient advocacy. He is part of numerous teams that support, collaborate, educate, and inspires physician, nurses, and community to improve health care and enhance lives.

Dr. Reuben is a graduate and holds an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He received his medical degrees from University of Missouri-Columbia.


Angel Monroy, MSN, RN, FNP-BC

Chief Nursing Officer

Angel Monroy is the Chief Nursing Officer at Menorah Medical Center. Angel has been part of Menorah in many different roles since 2010 when he was an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner rounding on patients and in the operating room assisting in surgery. Since then he has held the positions of Inpatient Director of Nursing and Assistant Chief Nursing Officer. Angel returns to Menorah after being the Division Vice President of Nursing Operations. He is passionate about nursing care and helping nurses find their career path. Angel has a Psychology Bachelor's Degree and a Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree (Family Nurse Practitioner) both from Graceland University

Zach Eaton

Assistant Chief Nursing Officer

Zach Eaton serves as the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at Menorah Medical Center. In this role he will work with the Chief Nursing Officer and Nurse Leaders to create exceptional patient experiences along with growth and learning opportunities for Menorah’s nursing team.

Prior to coming to Menorah, Zach served as the Director of Nursing at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, a 378-bed hospital in San Antonio. In that role he had oversight on multiple departments including two critical care units, Nursing Administrators Departments (House Supervisors) and the Clinical Support Resource Nurse Team. He has been in healthcare for more than eleven years and has served in progressive leadership roles for the last eight years.

Zach has been recognized for his leadership as a recipient of AACN’ Beacon Award of Excellence and the Transformational Leadership Award for two consecutive years. He received his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Portland, and Masters of Science in Nursing Degree from Saint Xavier University. Zach is currently working on his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) through Baylor University.


Jay Blumhorst

Vice President, Human Resources

Jay Blumhorst is the Vice President of Human Resources at Menorah Medical Center. With more than 20 years in human resources and operations management experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. Jay is passionate about mentoring, consultation, and development of talent initiatives in support of our colleagues.

Jay is originally from Missouri and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri. He is a recent participant in HCA’s Human Resources Leadership Development Program.


Molly Teichman

Vice President, Operations

Molly has enjoyed the hospital and clinical setting since beginning as a patient access clerk over 25 years and serves Menorah currently as the VP of Operations. In her role she is responsible for continuity of care in support of our ancillary services (anything non-nursing) as well as growing our service lines to respond to community need. She also services as the facility Co-Ethics and Compliance Officer.
