Meet Our Heart Rhythm Nurse Practitioners

Our electrophysiologists work very closely with experienced nurse practitioners (NP). While we always make sure you are seen by a physician, our NPs will also see you to provide condition and procedure education, pre and post procedure care and answer any questions you may have.

Heart Rhythm Nurse Courtney JefferyCourtney Jeffery, MSN, APRN-C, CHFN, is a board-certified nurse practitioner and certified heart failure nurse. She has 15 years of experience, most of that in care for patients with heart conditions, and today specializes in heart arrhythmias. She is an active researcher and teacher with multiple papers and clinical trials to her credit and has been the recipient of numerous academic and patient care honors. She received recognition as an electrophysiology nurse, was nominated as the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year and has been recognized multiple times for nursing excellence. Courtney is committed to delivering an exceptional level of quality and compassionate care to her patients and to make a positive impact as an educator and practitioner in heart rhythm management and heart failure. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society and the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses.

Heart Rhythm Nurse Dianna MarakDianna Marak, FNP, is a nurse practitioner with more than 29 years of nursing experience, with the majority of that time spent in heart care. Her experience and expertise enable her to provide an exceptional level of care for patients she treats both independently and in partnership with her physician colleagues. Dianna is highly skilled in diagnoses and plans of care for patients with heart diseases and has participated in numerous cardiology-focused clinical trials, work that has ensured she is knowledgeable about the latest advances in her field.

Heart Rhythm Nurse Deb SauerDeborah “Deb” Sauer, MSN, is a board-certified advanced nurse practitioner with more than 25 years of experience, with much of that time spent caring for heart patients. Deb is highly skilled at managing and treatment planning for cardiac patients in the hospital and as outpatients. Her patient assessment, diagnostic and treatment expertise in heart disease includes valve disease, heart attack, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease and arrhythmias. In addition to her patient care, Deb also serves as a nursing instructor. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Cardiology.

Heart Rhythm Nurse Sarah MeyerSarah Meyer, FNP, is a nurse practitioner with more than 15 years of patient care experience across a variety of specialties. She has worked both in primary care and specialty medicine including neurology, urgent care, women’s care and heart care. This breadth of experience enables Sarah to assess and plan treatment based on a knowledge and understanding of the importance of her patients’ total health. She works closely with each patient to provide the personalized level of care necessitated by their heart condition.
