Thank you for considering our Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) residency program. We are excited to be part of HCA Healthcare's expanding Graduate Medical Education program. We have the opportunities and experiences to provide a robust and innovative educational experience that will train exceptional specialists in OBGYN.

Our enthusiasm to educate the next generation extends beyond the transfer of knowledge and skills into a desire to build up future physician leaders. We are looking for dynamic and adaptable individuals with leadership potential because we know they will be successful in our program.

We believe you'll find our residency program stands out based on the attributes below:

Dedicated attention

The minute our residents start, they will be working directly with our faculty. Our physicians are committed to and vested in our OBGYN program and the long-term success and development of the future physicians passing thru our program.

This year our first class of residents have set the bar high on building a world-class culture. They are empowered by program leadership to help shape the expectations, ethos and values of our program. We are building a legacy around words like collaborative, capable, harmonious, innovative and supportive.

There is an abundance of resources locally and nationally to facilitate residents in meeting their potential. Locally, our residents will have the support of our dedicated hospital administration and staff as well as the GME office. Nationally, we have a network of HCA GME programs that we collaborate with to bring optimized educational programming.

Focus on wellness

We must keep our physicians healthy, both physically and mentally. Learning life-balance must start in residency. Undeniably, residency requires hard work and dedication, but it must be balanced by caring and attention to the whole person. We support this by encouraging residents to complete weekly education and stay on top of administrative tasks which is rewarded with structured time to meet personal needs.

Quality care

Patient care is why we all became physicians. We are dedicated to providing compassionate patient care that makes us proud. With access to HCA Healthcare data sets, one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare, we have the ability to contribute to large-scale meaningful improvement in patient care.

Kansas City is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the US. With an abundance of culture, nightlife, shopping, art scene and sports; you'll see why so many call Kansas City their home. In addition, Overland Park Regional Medical Center is located in an excellent area with easy access to downtown, excellent schools, great housing options and a low cost of living.

We encourage you to submit your application via ERAS and will strive to give a taste of what life is like here in Kansas City.
