HCA Midwest Health - July 19, 2017

My physician does not get results of the tests that they order.

It’s important for your physician to receive the results of the test they order. And for you, as the patient, to feel informed, empowered and engaged in your own care. After all, it’s your health. That’s why HCA Midwest Health makes test results easily accessible, but with the proper security necessary for such personal information.

When you register at one of our hospital locations, please confirm that we have your correct physician information on file. That way you can be sure that your test results will get to him or her quickly (through a secure electronic portal or fax). Most tests results are available within 72 hours, but timing can vary by the type of test.

Our admitting and/or physician office staff will provide you with information to create an account on MyHealthOne. This is a secure online system giving you access to your personal health information 24/7, including test results. Any doctors you may see that are employed by HCA Midwest Health can also access test results and even see actual images from your imaging tests in the portal.

Even if you had an X-ray taken at the emergency room, your HCA Midwest Health doctor can access it from his or her office. That means your healthcare providers across the Kansas City region have access to the same information at the same time, making it easier to coordinate the best care for you.
