Is it possible there may someday be a cure for cancer?

We all know someone that has been affected by cancer and at Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at HCA Midwest Health we are trying hard to find a cure. Some cancers are curable when diagnosed in time and depending upon what stage they are discovered. With so many types of cancer out there, each one affecting everyone differently, extensive research and testing is necessary to find effective ways to treat all of them.

HCA Midwest Health has expanded their collaboration with the Sarah Cannon Research Institute to offer even greater access to new treatments for those battling cancer in the Kansas City area. The advantage to the partnership with the Sarah Cannon Research Institute is that it offers the patients of HCA Midwest Health access to over 20 + years of research and over 500 clinical trials that take place annually. Clinical trials are detailed research studies that test whether a new drug, treatment or device is safe and effective in the treatment of a specific cancer.

Although there is no guarantee of results, for some patients a clinical trial may be the best treatment option available to them. This approach can ultimately lead to finding a cure while being treated close to home in the Kansas City area, near family, friends and treated by a familiar doctor.

If you are interested in clinical trials that may benefit you or a loved one, speak to your physician at Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at HCA Midwest Health. You can also speak to a registered nurse by calling askSARAH at (816) 448-7737.
