Why do I have to call a doctor to get access to my health records -- or pay $1/page to get it?

It is your information and you deserve access to it 24/7. After all, your medical records contain vital information to help you and your doctor make important health decisions.

That’s why all HCA Midwest Health hospitals offer MyHealthOne, an online patient portal that allows patients and caregivers to access their hospital records at any time for free. Those records include information such as why you visited the hospital, any tests, medications or treatments from your hospital stay, the physicians who helped with your care, and more.

If your physicians are HCA Midwest Health physicians, they can also access your records from their offices, including x-rays or other images, tests, or procedures such as surgery from your hospital stay.

If you don’t get a chance to sign up while you’re in the hospital, you can always call MyHealthOne at (855) 422-6625 to get started. If you are caring for a loved one, with a power of attorney or healthcare proxy for example, you can get access to their records by filling out a form at the hospital – it’s a quick and easy process.

The security of your health information is our highest priority. To make your enrollment smooth and fast, here are a few tips:

  • Visit hcamidwest.com/MyHealthOne and “Create an account”
  • You’ll need your Social Security number to connect your health information
  • Watch for an email confirming your account and set up your permanent password

Whether your hospital visit was a one-time event (such as a broken leg) or as a milestone in your treatment plan (such as cancer), your details are available to you after you register. Your medications, allergies, or even your next appointment will be waiting for you there.

If you have any questions about MyHealthOne, or would like help using it, please call us at (855) 422-6625.
