The Kansas City population is growing. What are hospitals doing to make sure everyone has access to care?

HCA Midwest Health and its hospitals are continually working to elevate the level of services and care for the people in the Kansas City area. We’ve made a commitment to care for and improve human life. And, as the communities around us grow and change, we make sure we respond in a way to meet the needs of the people we serve. 

Ten years ago, HCA made a lasting commitment to the community as Centerpoint Medical Center and Lee’s Summit Medical Center opened their doors at their current locations. While we celebrate Centerpoint Medical Center and Lee’s Summit Medical Center’s 10^th anniversary, we are renewing our commitment to expand access to the latest medical technology in beautiful and comforting settings. We remain committed to bringing world-class healthcare into these communities.

Here are just some of the ways HCA Midwest Health is improving access:

• Centerpoint Medical Center. We’re adding new floors, which will include inpatient rehab, expanded intensive care (ICU) services and additional medical telemetry units that provide real-time monitoring of patients’ heart rhythm and patterns over time.

• Lee’s Summit Medical Center. This year, the hospital will begin construction on the addition of a third floor. Planning is also underway for a new outpatient services medical office building to its campus. The entire multimillion-dollar expansion will allow for Lee’s Summit Medical Center to continue meeting the needs of a growing Lee’s Summit and surrounding communities.
