There’s no place like home, goes the time-honored saying. And when it comes to medical care that’s close to work and home, people like Jeanne Hopkins like the fact that Belton Regional Medical Center is equipped to fill the bill with a variety of services.
The Raymore resident has relied on Belton Regional Medical Center and her primary care physician, Gary Gustafson, DO, for a quarter of a century. Jeanne has her yearly mammograms and regular bone density tests conducted at the facility’s state-of-the-art imaging department and her husband, Richard, also uses Dr. Gustafson and the hospital for various medical needs.
Jeanne, a contract speech therapist with Missouri state schools, enjoys the convenience of an acute care hospital like Research Belton.
“It’s a two-mile drive from home,” says Jeanne. “I know that when I walk in for an appointment the staff is always organized, friendly and efficient. The fact that Dr. Gustafson is on staff here is an added benefit.”
In addition to utilizing Belton Regional Medical Center’s imaging services, Jeanne and Ray have visited the emergency department several times and have had preventive procedures like colonoscopies and cholesterol and diabetes tests performed by Dr. Gustafson.
Jeanne says first and foremost it’s important to trust her health care providers.
“And I like that I can get to my doctor’s office and hospital-of-choice in the blink of an eye,” she says.
