Amidst a challenging time for medical facilities across the world, Orange Park Medical Center continues to earn top notch rankings across the board for quality, safety and patient experience. Most recently, the hospital was voted the Best Medical Facility and Best Emergency Room for Clay County in the Clay Today Best Of for the second year in a row.
Earlier this year, Orange Park Medical Center was named among America’s Top 250 Hospitals by Healthgrades, the leading source that connects consumers, physicians and health systems. Putting the hospital in the top five percent of nearly 4,500 hospitals assessed nationwide for superior clinical performance.
In addition, Orange Park Medical Center received Healthgrades five-star ratings for treatment of sepsis, heart failure, respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), stroke and bowel obstruction. They were also named in the top ten perfect in the nation for gastrointestinal care, the recipient of the Gastrointestinal Care Excellence Award and ranked in the top five percent for hospitals evaluated for labor and delivery care.
Orange Park Medical Center also received an “A” for patient safety by The Leapfrog Group, a Washington D.C-based organization aiming to improve health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades assign A, B, C, D and F letter grades to hospitals nationwide. Developed under the guidance of an Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to approximately 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year.
