There is a rising number of moms giving birth to multiples -- twins, triplets, sometimes even more babies born at one time. Multiples have a higher chance of premature birth, which can lead to a host of health and development problems, problems that not long ago would have greatly reduced a baby's chances of surviving and thriving. Thanks to advances in neonatal medicine, we have more tools than ever to help give preemies a fighting chance. Overland Park Regional Medical Center has one of the area's most advanced Neonatal Intensive Care Units to provide the highest level of care for these babies.  Hear Dr. Brent Finley talk about all the reasons for premature birth as well as the ways we are now caring for babies born early to give them the best chances for both survival and long-term health.
