HCA’s Overland Park Regional Medical Center, has been awarded the Gold Medal of Honor for tissue donation from the Midwest Transplant Network. The Gold Medal of Honor is the highest honor and demonstrates Overland Park Regional Medical Center’s commitment to improving the lives of people in the Kansas City area who are awaiting life enhancing tissue donation.
The Midwest Transplant Network recognizes hospitals in three categories, Gold, Silver and Bronze. This commitment to life helps tens of thousands of individuals awaiting life-enhancing tissue and cornea transplants every year, according to the Midwest Transplant Network.
