WHO: Lee’s Summit Medical Center
WHAT: “Take Your Child To Work Day” - Children ages 8 to 18 who have a parent working at Lee’s Summit Medical Center will have the opportunity to learn about careers in health care. Hospital employees will share information about their profession in career fields like cardiovascular care, radiology, rehabilitation services, emergency/trauma care, laboratory, operating room/surgical services, information technology and hospital environmental services. LifeFlight Eagle professionals will also be onsite to demonstrate the features of an air ambulance and share information about their career fields. Children will learn in the hospital setting but will not be allowed to be in patient care areas.
WHEN: Thursday, April 25, 2013 - 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: Lee’s Summit Medical Center, 2100 SE Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit, Missouri
WHY: Lee’s Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Midwest Health System, Kansas City’s largest healthcare network, is pleased to offer the children of its employees an enriching educational experience. The day is designed to offer girls and boys useful and engaging demonstrations about career fields in a high tech and high touch hospital.
