Vein disease is significantly underdiagnosed and, in many cases, can result in health issues that affect quality of life. Many diseases of the veins cause no symptoms until a potentially deadly problem like a heart attack or stroke develops. According to the Society for Vascular Medicine, more than 30 million Americans suffer from venous disease, but only 10 percent seek treatment for it.

Dr. Tom Baldwin, cardiologist with Midwest Heart & Vascular Specialists, part of HCA Midwest Health, discusses vein disease and the new seminars offering hope.
