Additions Include New Inpatient Rehab and Joint Centers, ICU, Neurology and Epilepsy Rooms
Medical City Dallas will open 123 new, state-of-the-art, private patient rooms in its Building E tower on Friday, May 20, 2016.
Medical City added a total of 156,000 square feet to the hospital’s campus, including 32 new Intensive Care Unit rooms and 46 new orthopedic, neurology and epilepsy patient rooms. The sixth floor of Building E is dedicated to Medical City’s new Joint Restoration Institute, which provides 12 patient rooms and advanced joint care treatment for hip and knee replacement patients.
Building E’s ninth floor features a new inpatient rehabilitation center, offering a separate gym, private dining room and 33 patient rooms. Medical City’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center and Joint Restoration Institute will open on June 1, 2016.
“Housing our orthopedic, neuroscience, epilepsy, Intensive Care Unit and inpatient rehabilitation center in one building brings our vision of an Orthopedic and Neurosciences Hospital on the campus of Medical City to life,” said Troy Villarreal, FACHE, President and CEO at Medical City Dallas. “The specialized care and physician expertise provided on these new floors sets Medical City apart from other hospitals in Dallas/Fort Worth and North Texas.”
The expansion features all new spacious patient rooms and bathrooms, recliners, flat screen TVs and DVD players in every room and vast views of surrounding North Dallas neighborhoods. An additional helipad has also been added to the top of Building E.
Medical City Dallas is located in North Dallas at Forest Lane and Central Expressway (I-75), 15 minutes from downtown Dallas and a short drive from North Dallas suburbs.
