Kansas City, MO—Research Medical Center and Midwest Physicians, part of HCA Midwest Health System, is pleased to announce the addition of cardiologist, Patrick Santiago, MD, FACC, FACP, FASNC, to the Midwest Heart Associates practice and Research Medical Center medical staff. Dr. Santiago is a board-certified non-invasive cardiologist with expertise in echocardiograms, nuclear imaging, cardioversion and more.
The physicians of Midwest Heart Associates deliver comprehensive cardiology diagnostic and treatment services to adult patients at HCA Midwest Health System hospitals including Cass Regional Medical Center, Lee’s Summit Medical Center and Research Belton Hospital as well as Research Medical Center. Dr. Santiago has a strong research, lecturing and academic background in addition to his extensive clinical patient experience. He has served in numerous cardiology-related leadership and committee positions at area hospitals, and is a former associate professor of medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Dr. Santiago is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is also a member of the Kansas Chapter American College of Cardiology. Dr. Santiago trained at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and continued his studies at New York Medical College. He completed an internship and internal medicine residency at Saint Raphael Hospital, a Yale Medical School affiliate. He completed his cardiology fellowship at the UMKC, Truman Medical Center/Saint Luke’s Hospital. Dr. Santiago is fluent in Spanish and French.
