Michael Moberg was diagnosed with colorectal cancer at a young age and turned to Dr. Syed Karim, with Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Centerpoint Medical Center, for treatment. Following successful chemotherapy and radiation, he underwent robotic surgery by Menorah Medical Center's Dr. Ben Mizrahi.
Dr. Karim offers hope for colorectal cancer patients as screening tests catch cancer early. With little down time and minimal pain, Moberg says, "“The good news is that there is life after cancer,” he says. “It’s important to catch it early and having not just medical experts at your side, but a team who cares about you as a person."
