Midwest Valve Institute Clinical Case Conferences
Every two weeks, clinical case conferences are held, a forum where the specialists – interventional, nuclear and general cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and others – discuss cases and treatment options. Any patient with valve disease referred to, or under the treatment of a Midwest Heart Care cardiologist or surgeon has access to the clinical case conferences. The case conferences offer multiple fields of valve expertise to address the most complex valve disease cases. The open communication and collaboration among team members and with the referring physician ensure an overall view of each patient’s health and can often speed up treatment.
