Twins – Carl and David - born at Research Medical Center are thriving despite being born prematurely and an astonishing 39 days apart. Carl was born at 24 weeks and 1 day and weighed just more than a pound. David was born more than a month later and weighed 2.9 pounds. Elene Cowan, who flew with her husband from Saudi Arabia to Kansas City to give birth, tells KCTV 5 the couple’s remarkable story.
